So many things to do at Oak Haven!  During May, June and September, enjoy great fishing! In July and August, Oak Haven Resort offers free family activities, two heated swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and free use of canoes, sit-on-top kayaks and pedal boats to our registered guests.

Cabin # 11 is open year round and cabins # 1 thru # 10 are open May through September. (Varies slightly each year.)

Sunday mornings at 9 AM during the summer weeks, we offer free fresh baked donuts to our registered guests, served at the lodge while supplies last. Stop in and say hi, review our big wall map, check out our Oak Haven apparel and meet some nice people.

During the summer weeks we’ll be entertaining kids at the lodge with free pizza and beverages from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. This fun event is offered to weekly (Saturday to Saturday) cabin guests and seasonal camper kids during the summer weeks.

Every Wednesday morning during the summer weeks, we close the lodge and take the kids staying with us on our 25′ pontoon boat for a couple of hours of fishing. Kids learn some basics of fishing and the importance of “catch and release.”  We meet at the waterside pavilion at 9:45 AM. We talk about safety, the current weather and fishing plans and then we board the pontoon at 10 AM. Be sure your kids have their own fishing rod and reel….with good fishing line on their reel. It’s best that they have their own life jackets too. Bring your kids to Oak Haven and let us take them fishing! We take lots of pictures. It’s always a good time.

TURTLES….painted turtles and snapping turtles lay their eggs on Oak Haven property every spring (May and June usually). From a distance it’s easy and fun to watch a turtle dig a hole and lay it’s eggs. We encourage everyone to leave them alone and let them do their thing. Just part of the fun here at Oak Haven!

Spring, summer and fall we have fishing boats available to rent. Each of our fishing boats is equipped with Mercury outboard motor with electric start, a depth/fish finder (graph), live well, bilge pump, anchor and more. Remember, you have nine lakes to choose from when you stay at Oak Haven. This nine lake chain offers so much. Enjoy planning your fishing adventures!  Each day, the wind and the weather may determine whether you want to go after Walleye….or Largemouth Bass….if it’s windy, maybe go casting or trolling for Muskie and Northern Pike. Enjoy bobber fishing for Crappies, Bluegills and Perch.

Our two heated swimming pools both have new heaters and are maintained at 85-88 degrees during the summer weeks. If our heated swimming pools are an important part of your vacation, be sure you know when our pools will be open when you book your cabin/vacation. Thanks!

Free use of pedal boats, sit-on-top kayaks and canoes (available during the summer weeks), a beach that is great for making sand castles, basketball, a quality outdoor ping pong (table tennis) table, volleyball, badminton, tether ball, horseshoes, Bocce Ball, Foosball, board games, puzzles, books and much more…all free for our registered guests to enjoy. We have sandboxes and a fun Rainbow Clubhouse Playground.

Many guests enjoy catching Bass, Pike, Bluegills and Perch off our docks. We offer quality Weber charcoal grills at every cabin to complete your camping experience. We have a fire pit by the water, plus there are private fire pits at Cabins # 4, # 9, # 10 and # 11.

Get involved with our Annual Fishing Contest! No cost to enter, bragging rights to win. See several years of our fishing contest results in our Welcome Book, which is in every cabin and in the lodge. We suggest you “keep your bait or lure in the water.”  There are some really, really big fish here!  When boating the Cass Lake chain of nine lakes, we encourage you to troll in the connecting river channels, where law requires boats to travel at “no wake” speed to protect the many nesting birds (loons, ducks, more) in this wonderful area.

100_9495Visit the lodge for a frozen glass mug of root beer. Our root beer float comes with free refills of root beer until your ice cream is gone. Please visit our gift shop where you’ll find stuffed animals, toys, a light assortment of fishing tackle, plus a variety of jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts and hats. We try to offer new styles of Oak Haven embroidered hats every year. In the lodge you’ll find our heated indoor swimming pool, arcade games, great hand scooped ice cream and more. The lodge is the place to order our excellent Heggie’s pizza’s!

Thank You!

Wireless internet is available in the lodge, on the lodge deck and at Cabin # 11.
